NJ teen nails ‘diabolical’ headstand and split on stage at high school graduation
She’s leaving audiences split.
Most high school seniors look forward to tossing their caps and turning their tassels at graduation.
But one nimble New Jersey student turned heads instead — hitting a saucy headstand and split combination in celebration of receiving her diploma.
“Yes!” yelped cheering crowds at Newark’s Prudential Center on Thursday as an unidentified graduating gal from Paramus Catholic High School showcased her amateur gymnastics skills on stage.
The curly-haired scholar stretched before flipping upside down, tossing her legs in the air and posing with her limbs spread horizontally.
Thankfully, the tensile teen sported a snug pair of gray shorts beneath her stark-white graduation gown, keeping her kooky choreography classy.
Still, disapproving detractors online dubbed the stunt “trashy.”
“This is ghetto,” an unamused X user commented beneath reposted footage of the nearly NSFW moment.
“Leave it to a Jersey school,” spat a Garden State hater.
“Doing this at a catholic [school] is diabolical,” an equally gobsmacked spectator wrote.
“They’ll look back at this one day and cringe,” added another.
Questionable conduct seems to be a common theme at class of 2024 graduations.
An outraged Atlanta mom spewed a shower of curses and epithets during an elementary school’s end-of-year awards ceremony in May when her first-grader son was snubbed for recognition.
Chaos also erupted amid a kindergarten graduation at Buckley Carpenter Elementary in Somerville, Tennessee, last month, seeing at least 10 adults and children break into a fight during the fête.
Wisconsin father Matthew Eddy, 49, was charged with disorderly conduct after storming the stage of his daughter’s high school graduation, shoving the institution’s superintendent, Rainey Briggs, and yelling “I don’t want her touching him.”
Eddy claims to have had “past issues” with the school official, per a report.
Briggs was granted a restraining order against the madcap dad.
The more explosive graduation outbursts aside, a handful of online onlookers actually applauded the NJ Gen Zer for toasting her academic accomplishments by flexing her flexibility.
“PERIOD!! Show out,” encouraged an X user.
“At least she was wearing the proper clothes underneath for that moment,” another noted.
“You know what,” wrote a separate supporter, “good for her.”
