Up-and-coming rapper Enchanting has died at age 26 after she had reportedly been on life support, her former mentor and fellow rapper Gucci Mane confirmed.

The “Wake up in the Sky” hitmaker, 44, mourned the death of his former protégée, whose real name was Channing Nicole Larry, in a tribute on social media Tuesday.

The rising star died after her family took her off life support after she fell unconscious the day before.

A cause of death has not been revealed at this time.

In a statement to The Shade Room, a rep from her management team said the rapper was suffering from withdrawals and had overdosed.

“She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried,” they told the outlet.

According to her 1017 Records profile, which is still active on the label’s website, the rapper described her music style as “trap-n-blues.”

She previously opened up about switching her style after saying that she sounded like “a little baby” in the early days of her career.

“I had to get comfortable with my voice,” she said. “Staying in the studio and constantly recording, it helps me find the style I can be good at.”

“Other people can relate to the things I say. I might help somebody through any situation, they can listen to me and find peace,” Larry added.

Enchanting signed on to Mane’s 1017 Records label in 2020, and appeared on 3 compilation albums before leaving the label last year.

The rapper began to pursue a career in music at age 18, shortly after graduating from high school.

During her rise to fame, Enchanting released her hit song “He Can’t Reach,” which was featured on HBO’s Rap Sh!t season 2 soundtrack.

“Luv Scarred/No Luv” was her final studio album, released in February 2023.
