Cameron Brink reveals boyfriend’s effect on her life

LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink said her boyfriend, Ben Felter, introduced her to her new favorite hobby, although she’s quite “terrible” at it.

Brink and Felter — a former rower at Stanford where he and the WNBA forward met — have been bonding over various forms of art.

“My boyfriend has turned me into a huge art lover,” Brink said in an interview with People published on Wednesday. “I love pottery and watercolor, even though I’m terrible.

“It’s really lovely to just sit down and work your brain in a different way for a little bit.”

The 22-year-old Skims model also said she enjoys doing her own glam, including her hair and makeup. and surfing.

“I take pride in doing my own hair and makeup a lot. I love to do my own makeup,” Brink said. “I think for me, it is obviously fun to get glam, but it’s very meditative to just go throughout the process.”

“… Oh — and I taught myself how to juggle.”

Brink and Felter, who celebrated three years together in March, first met while they were both student athletes at Stanford — where she won an NCAA title in 2021 and was named Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 before she went on to become the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft.

The Princeton, N.J. native explained that her parents — Greg Brink and Michelle Bain-Brink, who met while both playing basketball at Virginia Tech — recently helped her move into her apartment in Los Angeles, and called them “the best support system.”

Basketball runs in the family.

Brink’s godbrothers are NBA players Steph and Seth Curry, and she is very close with the Curry family.

Seth’s wife, Callie Rivers Curry, who is the daughter of Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, helps handle some of Brink’s professional obligations.

“I just adore her, so it’s just a great intersection of family and business,” Brink, who is a New Balance athlete, said. “I’m very lucky to have a great village around me.”

The 6-foot-4 center is focused her transition to professional hoops.

“It’s definitely been a huge adjustment, one that I have to work on every single day and I have to get used to just my life being completely different,” she said.

Brink and the Sparks (4-8) face the Lynx (9-3) in Minnesota on Friday.
