Brittany Mahomes still fangirls over her husband.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ three-day mandatory minicamp kicked off on Tuesday and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife reposted a solo shot from the Chiefs’ Instagram of her husband seemingly warming up before training.
According to her array of emojis, Brittany was quite impressed: she included the smiling face with hearts, the “yum” emoji, and the drooling face emoji.
In the 2023 season, the quarterback had a passer rating of 92.6% and tallied 27 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and 4,183 yards across 16 games.
The defending Super Bowl Champions have been hard at work with the upcoming season around the corner and concluded Phase Three of the off-season program on Thursday.
While Mahomes, the second-youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl, is prepping to lead his team to back-to-back-to-back championships, his wife has also been busy.
In February, Brittany was featured on the cover of an issue of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
Mahomes and Brittany started dating in high school. According to wholesome pictures on Instagram, the high school sweethearts attended prom together in both 2013 and 2014.
Mahomes wrote “best prom date a guy could ask for.”
While the quarterback pursued his collegiate career at Texas Tech, Brittany played soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler, and they continued their romance despite the distance.
The standout quarterback was drafted by the Kansas Chiefs as the 10th overall pick in 2017, and the couple settled down in Missouri with their dogs Steel and Silver.
After leading the Chiefs to a comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers in 2020, Mahomes got down on one knee at Arrowhead Stadium.
The couple had their first child, daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, in 2021, exchanged vows in Hawaii a year later, and then welcomed son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III soon after.
Since then, the Mahomes family has starred in several advertisements and brand campaigns, including a Christmas-themed one with Kim Kardashian’s line Skims.
With the 2024 NFL season beginning in September, the Chiefs will begin their official training camp in July.
