DA Bragg ‘dragging his heels’ in ‘Soup Nazi’ hate case on UES: source

Justice has not been served — yet.

The hater dubbed “Soup Nazi” — who allegedly went on an antisemitic rampage at a kosher restaurant, splashing hot soup on a worker — is still roaming the streets, despite her identity and whereabouts being publicly revealed.

A source familiar with the investigation said soft-on-crime District Attorney Alvin Bragg is “dragging his heels” drawing up the arrest warrant.

“The bulk of the investigation has been concluded, but the suspect lives in another jurisdiction. They need the DA to issue that arrest warrant,” the source told The Post.

The suspect was identified as Mayra Teke of Paterson, NJ, according to a neighbor and family member.

Three days after the incident, The Post confronted Teke outside her home in Paterson.

The agitator ignored a reporter and photographer and advised a neighbor to tell The Post that she had “moved out” of the family apartment.

But the well-coiffed, sharply-dressed blonde bigot glammed it up for the cameras Dec. 13 after her twisted tirade at Hummus Kitchen on Second Avenue on the Upper East Side, where she tried to pull down an Israel flag, threw soup at an employee and called staffers “murderers.”

“All my employees were scared after [the first incident]. They were scared to come to work. They are still scared,” said owner Sharon Hoota (above). J.C. Rice

“I want justice,” Hummus Kitchen owner Sharon Hoota, who is Israeli, demanded this week. “I care that someone attacked my employee and police know who it is and nobody did nothing about it.”

The December tirade unfolded at 9:45 p.m.

A 45-second video shows a worker calling cops amid the chaos as the vandal tries, but fails, to pull down the banner.

A second video shows her throwing soup and flipping the bird as she walks out.

“He’s inside, he’s like inside of our awning. It’s a woman actually. She’s pulling it [the flag] down. She’s leaving, but she’s throwing all the chairs. She’s crazy,” the employee says.

A video of the ugly episode was posted to X, where it has now garnered more than 13.5 million views.

Hummus Kitchen was subjected to a second attack on Dec. 17, when a young woman — not Teke — appeared to fuel an unprovoked argument, footage shows.

The crazed woman who tried to cover up an Israel/US flag, pushed an employee, and stormed off after giving staff the middle finger, according to police and disturbing videos shared on social media.

The woman removed her Instagram account after being identified by the X account Stop Antisemitism.

Her identity could not be confirmed by The Post and she didn’t respond to messages.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is assigned to the Hummus Kitchen cases.

“There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing,” an NYPD spokesperson said Thursday.

Not the answer Hoota wanted to hear.

“All my employees were scared after [the first incident]. They were scared to come to work. They are still scared,” he said, adding, “Of course, I want [the police] to do something. The next time is going to be much more serious.”

In April, Hoota saw another one of his eateries — ZiZi in Chelsea — defaced with swastikas.

In that case, he arrived at ZiZi on the morning of April to find two of the hate symbols — one red and one black — spray painted on the restaurant’s outdoor dining shed on Eighth Avenue between 19th and 20th streets.

Hoota opened his first Hummus Kitchen in Hell’s Kitchen in 2008 and the Upper East Side outpost, between East 83rd and 84th streets, in 2009.
