Snoop Dogg blown away by Reds’ Elly De La Cruz while calling game in Brewers TV booth

The Reds may have gained a popular fan on Saturday. At least shortstop Elly De La Cruz did.

Snoop Dogg certainly was impressed with the talented infielder. The rapper was honored by the Brewers at American Family Field during their game against the Reds, throwing the ceremonial first pitch before the game, and he got to spend a few innings in the Bally Sports Wisconsin booth with Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder.

Snoop didn’t disappoint, and neither did De La Cruz.

The highlight came when Brewers second baseman Brice Hurang hit a grounder into the hole. De La Cruz showcased his world class arm to make the play, and Snoop Dogg was impressed.

“Oh he’s safe, he can’t throw that. He ain’t got no arm like that. No he don’t!” the rapper exclaimed. “Who is that with that rocket? Oh lord, he got a rocket in his pocket. Oh he made that.”

Snoop Dogg was entertaining on the mic, rapping while announcing. When Christian Yelich reached on an infield single, beating the pitcher to the base, it got entertaining.

“You better not let the pitcher outrun you, dog,” Snoop said. “That’s what I’m talking about. Anybody but the pitcher. You can’t outrun me, dog. Not you.”

After Yelich stole second base, Snoop said: “22 eating right now. He’s showing off for his uncle right now. All right, nephew, all right.”

The Brewers won the game, 3-1, and Snoop Dogg certainly seemed to enjoy himself.
