Woman who didn’t know she was pregnant gives birth in Golden Corral bathroom, names baby after buffet joint

He’s the Golden (Corral) boy!

A woman who said she didn’t know she was pregnant gave birth to health baby in a Golden Corral bathroom — then named her newborn son after the all-you-can-eat buffet.

Tayvia Woodfork said she started having stomach pains while out to dinner at the chain restaurant in North Little Rock on May 4.

A short time later, she delivered Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork into a toilet in the Golden Corral women’s room.

“I’m still in shock,” Woodfork told local news station KARK.

Immediately after arriving at the restaurant with her mother, Tameka, and the rest of their family, Woodfork went to the bathroom, thinking she just had cramps.

“I ain’t make it to the table,” she recalled.

But what she thought were cramps were contractions — and she quickly gave birth to a baby boy.

“My sister went around and looked in the toilet and was like, ‘I ain’t ever seen nothing like it. It’s a baby!'” Woodfork recalled.

Woodfork experienced a rare case of cryptic pregnancy, which is when a person doesn’t know they’re pregnant until late in the pregnancy, or even possibly until labor begins, according to Medical News Today.

Despite his chaotic entrance into the world, baby Tamaar was completely healthy, his family told the station.

“The baby was six pounds. It was a full baby,” grandmother Tameka Woodfork said.

Baby Tamaar’s birth was a shock not only to Woodfork but the entire Golden Corral restaurant.

Staff and other diners were clapping for Woodfork when she came out of the bathroom on a stretcher, her family said.

Back in their home state of Mississippi, Tamaar’s family said “Everybody wants to see the Golden Corral baby.”

The restaurant chain even gave the baby a shout-out, celebrating his surprise birth in a Facebook post by noting he now holds the record as the youngest Golden Corral fan.

“IT’S A BOY! Please join us in welcoming Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork, who was so excited that his mother was dining at Golden Corral that he decided to join her!” the restaurant wrote.

“Both mother and son are doing great, and we could not be happier! Welcome to the Golden Corral family Tamaar! You’re the new record holder as the youngest fan of Golden Corral! And don’t worry, we’ll make sure Mom is well taken care of with Golden Corral gift cards… while she’s taking care of you.”
