The 2023-2024 Broadway season has officially come to a close now that the Tony Awards have been handed out — and 10 of the awarded shows are still running on the Great White Way right now.
“Stereophonic” was the night’s biggest winner, nabbing five awards (of a record-setting 13 nominations) including Best Play, while “The Outsiders” took home Best Musical.
At the time of publication, both shows are running for the foreseeable future; “Stereophonic” has the John Golden Theatre booked until January 2025 and “The Outsiders” doesn’t have an end date at the Jacobs Theatre in sight.

Best Revival of a Musical, Best Lead Actor in a Musical (Jonathan Groff), Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Daniel Radcliffe), Best Orchestrations (Jonathan Tunick).
‘The Outsiders’
Bernard B. Jacobs Theater
What is it about?
Based on S.E. Hinton’s 1967 novel (and the subsequent 1983 film adaptation), “The Outsiders” follows the conflict between two rival gangs in Tulsa, Oklahoma, told through the point-of-view of 14 year-old Ponyboy Curtis.
What Tonys did it win?
Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical (Danya Taymor), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Hana S. Kim and Brian MacDevitt), Best Sound Design of a Musical (Cody Spencer).
‘Appropriate’
Belasco Theater through June 30
What is it about?
The Lafayette family returns to their late father’s home to settle his estate — and all of them arrive with different motives, some more selfish than others. As the weekend goes on, secrets come to light, old resentments are renewed, and the family is forced to face their pasts.

‘Hell’s Kitchen’
Shubert Theater

The Alicia Keys-penned jukebox musical is a semi-autobiographical retelling of Keys’ upbringing in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in the ’90s.

Best Lead Actress in a Musical (Maleah Joi Moon), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Kecia Lewis).
‘Suffs’
Music Box Theater
What is it about?
“Suffs” is based on the real historical events of the women’s suffrage movement leading up to the 19th Amendment’s ratification giving some women (primarily white women) the right to vote.

Best Original Score (Shaina Taub), Best Book of a Musical (Shaina Taub).
‘Illinoise’
St. James Theater through Aug. 10
What is it about?
A coming-of-age tale set to Sufjan Stevens’ 2005 album “Illinois,” the musical is primarily told through the language of dance. A group of friends gather around a campfire to share deeply personal stories, inspiring Henry to share his own powerful and heartbreaking story of first love.

Best Choreography (Justin Peck).
‘An Enemy of the People’
The Circle in the Square Theater through June 23
What is it about?
Small town doctor Thomas Stockmann discovers the town’s water supply is contaminated with bacteria and tries to expose that truth to the public, but is punished for it by others, including his brother Peter, the mayor (played by “The Sopranos’ Michael Imperioli).

Best Lead Actor in a Play (Jeremy Strong).
‘Cabaret at the Kit Kat Klub’
