Ex-Disney employee reveals ‘dumbest’ guest question ever: ‘This left me speechless’
Disney might be the most magical place on Earth, but the magic doesn’t start until you actually get there.
Someone on TikTok posed the question, “What’s the dumbest thing a guest has asked you while working at Disney?” — and a user who worked in bell services had what they claimed was a “100% true” yet bizarre story to share.
User @ohanainorlando said she had a guest who had been “checked in for hours” come up to her to inform her that their luggage still hadn’t arrived to their room despite “using Disney’s Magical Express service.”
Magical Express was the bus transportation between Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Orlando International Airport that was discontinued at the end of 2021.
After trying to track down the luggage and failing to find it anywhere in the system, the resort employees asked the guests where they left their luggage — and their answer came as a shock.
“They told us that they left it on their front porch of their home because they thought the service was ‘magical’ and that they would come pick it up and take it to their room,” the former employee said.
“As if there’s a magical bus that goes around all over the world and just picks up people’s luggage and just sends it to Disney World. Because they’re just supposed to know, I guess.”
People in the comments were absolutely baffled.
“I can’t even believe they managed to find their way from the house to the airport like damn.”
“I just want to know how those type of people can afford to stay at Disney hotel and I can’t.”
“I really don’t understand how some people make it so far with so little thought.”
“How do people like that buy a house? Do their taxes? Keep a job?!?! I think I’m relatively smart and I still struggle with my freaking taxes!”
“I was expecting the trunk of their car. This…. This left me speechless.”
“If it’s magical, why even leave it on the porch? Just keep it in the house; maybe even pack for them too!”
Another former Disney employee noted this incident happens fairly often.
“As a former resort front desk manager…this 100% is not an isolated incident. These people exist,” the user wrote.
Others found the situation to be just plain sad rather than funny.
