‘Treasure Island’-themed party pad in England with a wild-looking indoor pool asks $4.62M

A colorful publisher and poet’s statement party pad in England is seeking a new owner.

Not far from Shakespeare’s birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon, an eccentric estate inspired by the 1883 adventure novel “Treasure Island” has hit the market with a price tag of $4.62 million, Mansion Global first reported.

Known as Highfield, the whimsical residence was constructed in the late 1980s by the late Felix Dennis, a self-described “coked-up, overweight, cigarette-smoking, malt-whisky-swilling idiot with too much money,” according to the outlet.

Dennis, who passed away at the age of 67 in 2014, used the address to host multiple large, wild parties annually. The current owners purchased the abode the following year.

“Highfield is unlike anything else I’ve encountered in my career,” Knight Frank Country Department’s Jamie Robson, who holds the listing, told The Post, adding “This extraordinary property is the largest green oak barn construction in the last 300 years and is an entertainer’s paradise.”

The main house opens to a grand room containing a sprawling indoor swimming pool beneath a wood-beamed cathedral ceiling, and flanked by an enormous fish tank and huge palm trees.

Off of this are two wings, the north containing a solarium, a sauna, a steam room, a laundry room, a changing area, a bedroom and a bathroom. The south wing contains the kitchen, a dining room, a study and an open gallery.

The basement contains a dazzling Art Deco-inspired cinema and bar, and an underground parking area.

In all, the structure measures in at over 12,000 square feet and features materials including Verona Italian marble and Lincoln sandstone, with elements themed to “Treasure Island” — a coming-of-age story about buried gold, buccaneers and nautical nonsense galore — including decorative rope work and a hand-carved bed.

Elsewhere on the just under 4-acre property are numerous greenhouses, an oak-framed barn equipped with a cedar shingle roof — and an orchard bursting with apple, plum and pear trees.

As well, there’s a pair of semi-detached cottages with bespoke kitchens and handcrafted conservatories, according to the listing.
