Dave Portnoy seems convinced that former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie Xandra Pohl are dating.
During the latest installment of his “BFFs” podcast with Josh Richards and Brianna Chickenfry, the Barstool Sports founder recalled seeing Amendola, 38, and Pohl, 22, together at Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which took place at Gillette Stadium on June 12.
“So Xandra is dating Danny Amendola,” said Portnoy, who also shared in the same video that he recently beat cancer.
“Well, it’s a rumor,” Chickenfry replied.
“I don’t know if dating is the right word. Well, I was there [at Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction]. They’re together,” Portnoy said. “Yeah, we saw it in action.
“They walked in … let me put it this way. Let me rephrase. Xandra was Danny Amendola’s date for this thing. What they’re doing beyond that — but he definitely took her as his date.”
Chickenfry suggested, “Maybe they’re getting to know each other.”
“Maybe,” Portnoy said. “Although that’s like in your face dating… She was sitting with [Rob] Gronkowski and [his girlfriend] Camille [Kostek].”
Chickenfry went on to propose that she and Kostek, who is a veteran SI Swimsuit model, “maybe set it up as a little double date” because the two are friends.
Amendola and Pohl had the internet buzzing when his former teammate, Julian Edelman, shared a video on his Instagram Story, which featured the rumored couple sitting together at a table with Kostek and Gronkowski.
The video, which eventually expired from Edelman’s story, has since made its way around social media.
Pohl and Amendola, who are both believed to be single, have yet to address the buzz.
It comes after Pohl’s public breakup in December 2023 with Jack Touzet, whom she dated for three years while she was enrolled at the University of Miami.
Pohl — a DJ and TikTok star who lives in Miami — also discussed the split during a recent appearance on Chickenfry’s “Plan B” podcast.
“We went through this big breakup. I feel like the hardest thing dealing with that… you need to deal with your emotions before you go and put something out on the internet,” she said at the time. “Because the internet stays forever and the internet never forgets. So, I really had to take time and process all of that.”
Pohl was linked to new Chiefs player Louis Rees-Zammit last month.
The former European rugby star, who signed with Kansas City in March, and Pohl enjoyed a tour of his new city, as seen in photos Barley Bus Tours shared on Instagram.
The pair also took in a rollercoaster ride at Worlds of Fun theme park, according to separate photos shared by the park’s Instagram account.
Amendola previously dated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Culpo from 2016-19.
Culpo is currently engaged to 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and the couple is set to tie the knot this summer in her native Rhode Island.
