NY pro skateboarder Tyshawn Jones kicked off his bike by stranger while riding in Paris: ‘Why would you do that?’

Professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones was kicked off his bike by a stranger in an apparent random attack while riding the streets of Paris.

Tyshawn Jones, hailed as the skateboarding king of New York, was crossing an intersection in the French capital when another bike rider came speeding up and kicked the bike out from underneath Jones.

The video, captured by an associate of Jones, showed the entire incident where Jones slowly approached the Parisian intersection, looking to the left as other bicyclists crossed in front of him before the kick-and-run.

Jones crashed to the ground as the stranger fled down the busy street.

The clip, which has since been shared across social media, included the aftermath where the Jones’ associate asked the skateboarder if he was ok.

“You alright, I got it on camera, this motherf–ker,” the cameraman, later identified as Adidas executive Jascha Muller said.

Following the incident, Jones, 25, took to social media in a quest to identify the stranger.

“If anybody knows this man please DM it to me. I just want to have a conversation with bro,” Jones said. “Like why would you do that to such a good person?”

Jones later shared that he was ready to fight the man but had already taken off with his motorized bike.

“He had a bike with a throttle on it, and that bitch went like 50 mph, I tried to catch him, I just didn’t catch him.”

Jones, who is in France for Paris Fashion Week, has a line of sneakers and clothing with Adidas and recently released the Tyshawn 2 skate shoe, according to his Instagram account.

The skateboarder had promised to return to the intersection where the incident took place at the “same time, same hour, right on the dot,” to confront the suspect, but was persuaded to be the bigger man.

“Jascha Muller said be the bigger man smh,” Jones captioned an Instagram story.

Muller, the global director of sports marketing-action sports for the clothing brand, was the one that was recording Jones when he was knocked off the bike.

“I’m back in these Paris streets. I’m trying to look for bro but my Adidas guy who filmed the video is saying that I can’t be outside trying to get my lick back, it’s not worth it, I gotta think about my future and all I got going on,” Jones said. “I gotta take it to the chin, I guess I’m gonna let this guy slide.”

Jones is a two-time recipient of Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year — 2018 and 2022.
