Love actually does exist!
“Love Actually” star Thomas Brodie-Sangster got married to Talulah Riley, the two-time ex-wife of Elon Musk, in England on Saturday.
Photos from the nuptials showed the couple holding hands as guests tossed flower petals at them outside St George’s Church in Hertfordshire.
Brodie-Sangster, 34, wore a blue suit jacket over a white floral vest, a beige cravat and gray pants.
Riley, 38, wore a white dress with a long, lace-trimmed veil. She held a big bouquet of white and pink flowers.
After saying “I do” in front of their friends and family, the newlyweds rode in a horse-drawn carriage for their reception.
A bystander told the Sun: “Thomas walked from the house to the church, and Talulah arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. While they were inside for the ceremony, another horse arrived with white roses woven through its mane.”
Brodie-Sangster and Riley met on the set of the 2022 FX on Hulu series “Pistol.” The show followed Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones and the band’s rise to fame.
They played fashion designers and couple Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood.
In a May 2022 interview with the Sunday Times, Riley revealed she didn’t fall in love with “The Queen’s Gambit” actor right away.
“We hadn’t really acknowledged each other as a romantic possibility or potential until the moment that we both did,” she said. “And it was the same moment a number of months after having worked together and been good friends.”
The actors announced their engagement in July 2023. “Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged!” Riley wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Riley was previously married to Musk, 52, twice. The pair first tied the knot in 2010 and divorced in 2012, then reunited in 2013 only to divorce a second time in 2016. They didn’t have any children together.
The exes met at a bar in London, although Riley didn’t know who the Tesla founder was.
“I remember thinking that this guy probably didn’t get to talk to young actresses a lot and that he seemed quite nervous,” she told biographer Ashlee Vance in his 2015 book, “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future.” “I decided to be really nice to him and give him a nice evening. Little did I know that he’d spoken to a lot of pretty girls in his life.”
After splitting from Musk for good, Riley acknowledged how it was “strange” that the exes got married and divorced twice.
“I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married. You know, it’s like a habit,” she told the Independent in 2022. “We were saying, ‘This is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh, wait, no, we’re not that anymore. We better be that again.’ “
