NYC cafe owner mocked by two laughing vandals defacing his $16K dining shed

A cafe owner on the Lower East Side was mocked by two grinning vandals as he confronted them on video for shamelessly tagging his costly dining shed earlier this month.

“Are you serious, man?” Kaiser Richter asked one of the men as he came upon him finishing some graffiti on the dining shed outside Flowers Cafe on Essex Street.

“Nobody’s here,” a second tagger shrugged as Richter approached, according to an Instagram video of the incident shared on June 11.

The first tagger did not reply to Richter’s questions but grinned as he walked away from his finished work, which marred the orange interior of the small dining structure.

Richter grew audibly more frustrated as he told the pair that he paid $16,000 for the shed.

“16K? This guy didn’t sand it, he didn’t sand it, dude!” one of the men replied, gesturing at the now-defaced walls.

“It’s f—king terrible!” the man added with a smirk.

As the pair casually strode away, Richter called out that he was reporting the incident to the police.

“As I confronted them, one of them justified himself by saying how ugly it looked,” the cafe owner said to Storyful.

He gave the video to the police, who are looking for the two men, Richter added.

Social media commenters bashed the taggers on Richter’s Instagram post.

“It’s shocking how they feel no shame and they are not even trying to hide what they are doing, I mean it’s broad daylight!!” one viewer wrote.

“This is so sad! These two are adults not teenagers! I hope the police do something to help,” another added.

The NYPD did not immediately return The Post’s request for an update on the investigation.

On Monday, the Flowers Cafe Instagram uploaded a second video that appeared to show new tags added within an hour of closing time Sunday evening.

“Lawless city New York,” the caption read.
