Meghan Markle ‘would love’ for King Charles to give American Riviera Orchard his ‘stamp of approval’: report

Meghan Markle is looking for a royal stamp of approval for her new lifestyle brand, according to a report.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, unveiled her new business venture, American Riviera Orchard, in March with an Instagram post teasing its impending launch.

Since then, she’s sent jam jars and dog biscuits to her celeb pals, and has even teased a future rosé wine range.

But in a desperate bid to spike sales, the “Suits” alum is looking for endorsement from her estranged father-in-law King Charles, despite not seeing him for years.

“Meghan is looking for support wherever she can get it,” a source told OK! magazine. “Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are at the top of her list, but she is shooting even higher and would love to get King Charles to give his stamp of approval.”

The insider claims that Markle hopes her husband, Prince Harry, will get in touch with the Windsor clan to lend a helping hand with her new business venture.

“She wants Harry to reach out to anyone in the family that he’s still got access to,” the source said.

“She still believes that there is a lot more support for them inside the royal family than people let on, and thinks it would be foolish not to ask for help.”

“Despite all the drama, Meghan does not see why they should not be able to drum up some support and backing,” the insider added.

While products from her new brand are not available for purchase yet, Markle sent out jars of strawberry jam to an exclusive group of celebs in April.

Last month, Nacho Figueras posted a picture of a pot of raspberry jam from Markle’s new lifestyle label, as well as a snap of his pup sitting next to a glass jar of the doggie treats.

However, per reports, the first item available to the public will be Markle’s rosé wine.

According to those close to Markle, the brand’s name is a sweet nod to Santa Barbara, Calif., as it has been nicknamed the “American Riviera” for over a century.

The location is also where she and Harry reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Additionally, a trademark application reveals the brand plans to sell tableware, drinkware, decanters, kitchen linens and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads.

The trademark application is awaiting examination and is seeking approval for cookbooks.

It was reported that the mom of two could be looking to make a whopping seven-figure sum within the first year of launching the brand.
