Yankees’ Ben Rice crushes three home runs in historic game vs. Red Sox

Ben Rice was cooking up something special on Saturday afternoon.

Rice crushed three homers against the rival Red Sox as part of a huge game at the plate.

He became the first-ever Yankees rookie to accomplish the feat in the Bronx Bombers’ 14-4 rout of Boston.

Already with two homers going into the bottom of the seventh, Rice stepped in against Boston reliever Chase Anderson and demolished a 1-0 offering 406 feet into right-center field at 110 mph off the bat.

After he rounded the bases and got congratulations from his Yankees teammates, he came back out of the home dugout and gave a curtain call.
