The Knicks can cross another potential piece off the list.
Point guard Kyle Lowry has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the 76ers, according to multiple reports.
The terms of the deal were not yet clear.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Lowry’s agent and Philadelphia president of basketball operations Daryl Morey “ramped up” discussions over the past week as the guard mulled “several” other teams.
The Knicks, already loaded with Villanova talent, missed out on the 38-year-old former Wildcat.
The Post’s Stefan Bondy had listed Lowry as one of the potential targets the Knicks could look to in free agency to beef up their depth.
In his first season with the 76ers last year, Lowry averaged 8.0 points and 4.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per game over 23 contests after starting the year with the Heat.
He averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the first-round playoff series loss to the Knicks.
It’s been a busy offseason for Philadelphia, which has already added Paul George, Caleb Martin and Eric Gordon in free agency.
The 76ers have also re-signed Kelly Oubre Jr. and inked Tyrese Maxey to an extension.
Despite an injury-plagued year from 2022-23 MVP Joel Embiid, the 76ers finished last season with a 47-35 record and the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference, falling to the Knicks in a back-and-forth first-round playoff series that lasted six games.
The Knicks, on the other hand, brought in Villanova product Mikal Bridges in a blockbuster trade with the Nets and re-signed OG Anunoby while also losing big man Isaiah Hartenstein to the Thunder in free agency.
The Knicks also added some potential help at point guard in the NBA draft when they picked Marquette’s Tyler Kolek in the second round.
