Hunter Biden noshed at Nobu in Malibu as dad stumbled through ‘big boy’ press conference

Chew on this.

Convicted felon Hunter Biden noshed at Nobu in Malibu Thursday as his embattled dad, President Biden, called Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump” and lost his train of thought during another gaffe-filled press conference on the East Coast.

The scandal-plagued first son, 54, hid behind a pair of aviators as he was snapped emerging from the swanky beachside restaurant just after 5:30 p.m. PT (8:30 p.m. ET), just as the president wrapped up what his aides had billed as a “big boy press conference” in the wake of his disastrous debate.

It wasn’t immediately clear what time Hunter — who was recently convicted on federal charges related to lying about his drug use in order to buy a gun — had arrived at the celebrity-favorite eatery, or if he met anyone there.

It also wasn’t known what, if anything, the first son was noshing on as his 81-year-old dad was peppered with questions for nearly an hour at the end of the annual NATO summit in Washington, DC.

Biden’s rare solo press conference was set up in a bid to try to thwart the Democratic clamor for him to step aside after his June 27 debate performance threw his 2024 re-election campaign into utter disarray.

It also came hours after the president mixed up Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky at a different event.

The commander-in-chief ended up compounding concerns by making contradictory remarks, forgetting questions and giving rambling answers on stage.

At one point, Biden mixed up Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump — prompting gasps and groans from the scores of journalists seated in the room.

“Look, I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if I think she’s not qualified to be president,” Biden said.

Hunter’s decision to visit the posh West Coast spot, which is co-owned by Robert De Niro, comes after sources told The Post earlier this month that the first son had been sitting in on West Wing meetings with his dad amid calls for the president to drop his campaign.

“Hunter doesn’t trust” his father’s old guard of aides, one source said. “I think Hunter wants to be there, and POTUS isn’t going to say no.”

The first son and other Biden family members, who are advocates of him staying in the race, reportedly blamed the president’s longtime advisers for the debate train wreck.

Meanwhile, Nobu — where a Japanese A5 Wagyu sells for $38 an ounce and king crab tempura goes for $58 — has apparently become a favorite of Hunter’s.

He was pictured leaving the restaurant, apparently unbothered, a year ago as news swarmed about a newly unveiled bombshell FBI informant file that described a $10 million bribery allegation against him and his dad.
