RNC convention speakers include GOP heavyweights, VP hopefuls — and an English bulldog

The Republicans are going to the dogs.

Former President Trump announced the roster of headliners for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, including a who’s who of party luminaries, close family — and at least one canine.

Team Trump and the Republican National Convention’s Committee on Arrangements said Saturday that West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and his pet pooch Babydog would be among the “headliners and keynote speakers” at the convention, which begins Monday at the Fiserv Forum Complex Center.

Justice is currently eyeing the Senate seat held by Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin. Babydog, a stout English bulldog is famous in the state, and made headlines this year after undergoing knee surgery.

It’s unclear what day Babydog will appear or how the animal will be received by Trump — who famously does not like dogs.

Speakers include all three of the vice presidential finalists — North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

Other veep names floated, including Florida Rep. Byron Donalds and New York Rep. Elise Stefanik will have speaking slots. And former New York congressman Lee Zeldin will also address the convention.

During his first term, Trump famously relied on family to fill important roles — and the convention lineup will also include speaking roles for Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle and RNC co-chairwoman Lara Trump.

Other speakers will include former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, country music legend Lee Greenwood, UFC CEO Dana White and faith leader Franklin Graham.
