Police received multiple reports of suspicious packages around the area where the shooter was, prompting them to dispatch bomb technicians, authorities told the Journal.

Officials were working to ensure the scene was clear well into the night before searching Crooks’ family home, the sources added.

A full breakdown of the shooting Saturday. Crooks’ car was reportedly found nearby with explosives inside.

Crooks fired multiple rounds from a nearby rooftop before a Secret Service sniper fired back, ultimately killing him.

An AR-style rifle was found at the scene. The firearm was purchased by the gunman’s father, according to the Journal.

Photos of the shooting show the former president bloodied after a bullet grazed his right ear.

Trump was treated at a Pennsylvania hospital for wounds to his ear before he was seen departing his private plane, Trump Force One, at Newark Liberty International Airport just after midnight.

A rally-goer was killed in the attack while two others were critically injured, officials said.

Early Sunday, Crooks’ neighbor told The Post that a bomb squad told them they had a report of explosives at the home.

Authorities have not shared a possible motive in the shooting.
