Trump VP pick JD Vance blasts Biden’s border crisis: ‘You’re orphaning an entire generation of kids’

Ohio Sen. JD Vance — former President Donald Trump’s running mate — blasted the Biden administration’s border crisis on Monday, arguing the flood of deadly drugs pouring into the US from the southern border is “orphaning an entire generation of kids.”

A White House led by Trump, Vance told Fox News host Sean Hannity, would focus on deporting migrants, particularly “violent criminals” who entered the country illegally, and beefing up border security.

Joe Biden has thrown open the southern border. President Trump had it under control,” Vance argued. “We’ve got to stop the flow to begin with.

“Now, what do you do with the 11 million people? I actually think it’s probably more than 11 million people who are here right now. Number one, you start with the most violent people, the people of criminal records, and you’ve got to be willing to deport them.”

The first-term GOP senator said officials need to make it harder for illegal immigrants to find work in the US because it lowers wages of American workers.

“It invites more people to come in illegally,” Vance told Hannity on his show. “And if you make it hard for people to work, a lot of them are going to go back anyway.”

Vance also said the nation’s porous border has helped fuel the drug epidemic in the US because Mexican cartels are able to ship deadly substances like fentanyl across the border.

Vance, who was raised by his grandmother, noted his mother struggled with addiction, but is now about 10 years sober, because not as much “poison” was coming into the country years ago when she got clear compared to now.

“We are depriving Americans of a second chance with their loved ones. You cannot keep on doing this,” he said. “You’re orphaning an entire generation of kids.

“Go to Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin … you have thousands of grandparents raising grandchildren that they weren’t expecting to raise because of the poison Joe Biden let come across the border. President Trump is the guy to stop this, and if we don’t stop it, we’re going to lose a generation young kids.”

Vance was tapped as Trump’s vice president pick on the first day of the GOP National Convention as the 45th president was officially nominated to represent the Republican ticket this November.

Trump has vowed to carry out the largest deportation effort in US history that would involve millions of illegal migrants if he retakes the Oval Office this November.
