NYC-based colorist Rita Hazan has been entrusted with transforming some of the biggest A-listers with the most iconic hair, including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and the Queen B herself, Beyoncé (who Hazan has taken from sun-washed and teddy bear blonde to the richest brunette hues over the last 11 years). “Beyoncé is super adventurous and I love that,” says Hazan, 50, who most recently perfected Sydney Sweeney’s golden locks.
As a true New Yorker, the diva of dye (and bleach) mostly wears black, and therefore prefers a classic red lip and black eyeliner to match. “I have at least five black eyeliners on me at all times,” the Upper East Side salon owner, and founder of her own eponymous line of hair products, tells Alexa. “I never want to run out.
