Nikki Haley slams anti-Trump group called ‘Haley Voters for Harris’: ‘Deceptive and wrong’

Former GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley slammed an anti-Trump political group Tuesday over its use of her name to back Dem Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

The former South Carolina governor and ex-United Nations ambassador disavowed any connection to the political action committee known as “Haley Voters for Harris,” blasting the group as “deceptive and wrong” for trying to convince her supporters to cast ballots for the veep in November.

“Kamala Harris and I are total opposites on every issue,” Haley said in a statement.

“Any attempt to use my name to support her or her agenda is deceptive and wrong,” she added. “I support Donald Trump because he understands we need to make America strong, safe, and prosperous.”

“Haley Voters for Harris,” which was previously known as “Haley Voters for Biden” before the 81-year-old president ended his re-election bid, has reportedly been hit with a cease-and-desist letter over the group’s alleged “unlawful use of Ambassador Haley’s name” to imply that she supports the 59-year-old vice president.

“Any use by you of Ambassador Haley’s name, image, or likeness is without her permission,” say the letter, obtained by Fox News. “Ambassador Haley has been clear in her support of Harris’ opponent. Any intimation that Ambassador Haley supports Harris is intentionally false and misleading.”

The missive, sent by a law firm used by Haley during her presidential campaign, further warns that the Justice Department and FBI will be alerted if the PAC attempts to fund-raise off Haley’s name.

Craig Snyder, the director of “Haley Voters for Harris,” told The Post that he has yet to see the cease-and-desist letter but denounced any effort aimed at forcing the group to change its moniker.

“We have not yet seen the reported letter and will of course consult with counsel about any legal issues raised, but in common sense terms, this effort to suppress political speech is absurd,” said Snyder, who in the 1990s served as chief of staff to the late Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.), in a statement.

“I am a Haley Voter. I am for Harris. There are many others who are likeminded. Why shouldn’t we be able to call ourselves what we are while in no way suggesting that Gov Haley supports the Vice President’s candidacy?” Snyder argued.

Haley, a fierce rival and harsh critic of Trump on the campaign trail, endorsed the 78-year-old former president in May after being silence following the end of her White House bid in March.

Haley, a former Trump administration official, spoke enthusiastically of the Republican nominee for president at the party’s convention last week.

“President Trump asked me to speak at this convention in the name of unity. It was a gracious invitation, and I was happy to accept,” Haley, 52, said.

“You don’t have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him,” she added, addressing her supporters at the convention.

“If we have four more years of Biden or a single day of Harris, our country will be badly worse off,” Haley said. “For the sake of our nation, we have to go with Donald Trump.”
