Chick-fil-A fan favorite is coming back for the first time in 13 years — along with other new items

Chick-fil-A fans are going bananas for this news.

The fast food franchise has revealed it’s bringing back its Banana Pudding Milkshake for the first time in 13 years.

The shake is hand-spun “the old-fashioned way,” mixing Chick-fil-A’s classic “Icedream” ice cream with sweet cream, natural bananas, banana puree and crushed vanilla wafer cookies,” according to an announcement released by the company on Tuesday.

The sweet treat is topped with whipped cream, vanilla wafer cookie crumbles and a cherry on top.

Chick-fil-A is bringing back its Banana Pudding Milkshake for the first time in 13 years.

“I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve gone to family reunions or spoken to someone at the store who found out I work at Chick-fil-A, ‘When is that Banana Pudding Milkshake coming back?’” Chick-fil-A Chef Christy Cook, told USA Today.

The sugary drink has about 880 calories, 155 grams of carbs, 25 grams of fat, and 13 grams of protein — but they’re not being ordered for their nutritional value.

“When I think about banana pudding, I think about family reunions and community and something where I’m gathering with friends, and so that’s what we want to convey with this shake,” Cook said.

But the popular shake isn’t the only new drink Chik-fil-A fans are thirsting for.

The Southern chain is also adding a Banana Frosted Coffee.

The caffeinated creation is advertised as a blend of cold-brewed coffee, the brand’s signature Icedream ice cream, banana, and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles.

Although Chick-fil-A seems to really be milking customers’ love of banana pudding, a traditional serving of the dessert will not be offered.

Chick-fil-A will also be adding a Banana Frosted Coffee to their menu in the coming weeks.

Banana pudding hasn’t been added to the menu at any official Chick-fil-A restaurants, but can be ordered at its sister stores in Georgia — Truett’s Grill, Truett’s Chick-fil-A, the Dwarf House, and the Dwarf House in Hapeville.

The sweet treats will only be available for a limited time at certain stores in-person and online from Aug. 26 through Nov. 16, while supplies last.

Other limited items have typically only been offered for about ten weeks.

The Banana Pudding Milkshake will rejoin the menu on the same day as a new version of the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich — it’s reported to be spicier than last year’s original creation.
