Gamblers fading Cowboys amid CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott contract drama

Bettors aren’t too keen on the Cowboys’ chances in 2024.

America’s Team is getting more money than any other in the NFL at Fanatics Sportsbook to go under their preseason win total, which is sitting at 10.5 as of this writing, according to Ben Fawkes

Roughly 93 percent of the handle is on them to win fewer than 10.5 games, according to Fawkes.

With all the action on the under, the Cowboys are now -200 at Fanatics to fall short of their current win total.

The bad sentiment from the betting public comes as the team deals with plenty of drama off the field.

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is holding out as he attempts to get an extension from the Cowboys ahead of the season.

The contract impasse has become one of the NFL’s biggest stories of the preseason, with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones having to backtrack comments about the urgency — or lack thereof — on a deal for Lamb.

Quarterback Dak Prescott is on the field, but he’s also looking for a new contract from the Cowboys

Like Lamb at wide receiver, Prescott’s deal is expected to be one of the largest — if not the largest — contracts for a quarterback in NFL history.

The Cowboys have won 12 games in each of the last three seasons, but it hasn’t led to much postseason success, winning just one playoff game and never advancing past the divisional round during that stretch.

They have gone over their preseason win total in each of those seasons, according to Sports Odds History.
