George Clooney is offering up a ticket to paradise — a one night on the town with him!
The 63-year-old is auctioning himself off for a good cause next month alongside Charitybuzz.
The auction — “A Good Evening with George Clooney” — will have one lucky bidder attend an “intimate” night in New York City with the actor.
The bidding started at $10,000 and is currently up to $31,000. The charity hopes to collect $60,000 for the night out with Clooney.
The press release reads about the “ER” star’s charity of choice: “The Clooney Foundation for Justice wages justice for human rights abuses around the world. The private dinner party is raising funds for Waging Justice for Women.”
It continued, “The foundation has multiple programs (TrialWatch, Waging Justice for Women and The Docket) that are dedicated to achieving justice for the most vulnerable people among us.”
The winner will also be able to bring a guest along to a private cocktail before their dinner party, which includes two dozen others.
The dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. on September 24 in New York City and will also have a photo opportunity.
“Join Mr. Clooney for a private cocktail before dinner, take photos, and enjoy a private, intimate dinner and Q&A,” the release added.
The fortunate winner may be able to dive deeper into Clooney’s recent comments about Quentin Tarantino over the private meal.
In Tuesday’s GQ interview alongside his “Wolfs” co-star Brad Pitt, the Golden Globe winner fired back at the director for putting down almost his entire filmography.
“Quentin said some s–t about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him,” Clooney said. “He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Pitt], and somebody else, and then this guy goes, ‘Well, what about George?’ He goes, he’s not a movie star.”
Clooney added, “And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’ And I was like, ‘Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f—ing career.’ So now I’m like, all right, dude, f–k off. I don’t mind giving him s–t. He gave me s–t.”
The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor later appeared to backtrack, following up his remarks with a nod to the great filmmakers — movie star status or not.
“But no, look, we’re really lucky we got to work with these great directors,” Clooney shared. “Director and screenplay is what keeps you alive.”
“And I learned that after doing some really bad films,” he admitted. “You can’t make a good film out of a bad script. You can’t do it. You can make a bad film out of a good script. You can f–k it up.”
Meanwhile, Clooney and Tarantino both starred in the 1996 film, “From Dusk Till Dawn.”
As for how the director’s acting was in the movie? Well, the “Out of Sight” alum noted he was “pretty good. He was OK in it.”
Pitt chimed in: “There’s a scene, I’m blanking on it. But he’s really good.”
Clooney’s comments about Tarantino appeared to stem from the director’s conversation with Deadline last July.
The 61-year-old mogul stated that actors such as Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio were movie stars but Clooney was not.
“It’s been a long while since I think George Clooney has drawn anybody to an audience,” Tarantino said. “When was the last time that he had a hit in this millennial?”
When the interviewer pushed back, Tarantino responded, “Well, I’m asking you, when was his last hit where he drew an audience?”
However, Clooney has starred in a multitude of hit movies since the turn of the century, including the fan favorite “Ocean’s” trilogy alongside Pitt and Matt Damon.
The Kentucky native took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 2005 movie “Syriana.” He was also nominated in the Best Actor category three separate times, including the 2007 film “Michael Clayton,” 2009’s “Up in the Air,” and 2011’s “The Descendants.”
