Rob Schneider apologizes to daughter Elle King after she recalls ‘toxic’ dad sending her to fat camp

A daddy-daughter trip may be in their future.

Rob Schneider is apologizing to his daughter Elle King after the 35-year-old publicly detailed their strained relationship.

“It’s fun being a parent, isn’t it?” Schneider joked in a clip for ”The Tucker Carlson Show” podcast, airing in full Thursday. “Well, I just want to tell my daughter, Elle, I love you, and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed, and clearly I wasn’t.”

“The Hot Chick” actor added, “I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings. I love you completely. I love you entirely.”

Giving a nod to King’s son, Lucky, whom she welcomed in 2021 with tattoo artist Dan Tooker, Schneider noted, “I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby Lucky.”

“I wish you the best,” the 60-year-old continued. “I feel terrible, and I just want you to know I don’t take anything you say personally.”

Host Carlson then asked Schneider: “So when your daughter attacks you in public, how hard is it not to — you didn’t make any excuses or blame her or attack back — how hard is that?”

The comedian replied, “If you love somebody completely — I love her. And all I want for her is to be happy and to heal from this.”

Schneider took to X to promote his discussion with Carlson by posting a picture alongside the controversial news host.

“Thank YOU, @TuckerCarlson @TCNetwork for a wonderful conversation! It was an honor to be on the Biggest Podcast in the World, more importantly with a terrific person,” the actor wrote.

He also took a moment to share the news about his latest novel, writing, “I can’t wait for ALL of YOU to have a listen THIS THURSDAY! My new book ‘You can do it!’ Hatchette Books Sept 24.”

Schneider’s apology comes after King sat down with Bunnie Xo for her “Dumb Blonde” podcast and revealed that her famous father once sent her away due to her weight.

“I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp,” the singer explained. “And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and I didn’t lose any weight … Very toxic and very silly.”

King added that she’s gone “four or five years without talking to my dad.”

The “Ex’s and Oh’s” artist also shared the conversation she and Schneider allegedly had at the start of her music career.

“I put out my record and people finally started asking me about my dad,” King recalled. “My dad called me and was like, ‘Don’t f–king talk about me in the press.’ ”

The “Benchwarmers” actress went on to tell Bunnie that the filmmaker never tried to help her with her career but that she was uninterested in his assistance because he doesn’t have “a good reputation” in Hollywood.

As a child, King recounted spending summers with her dad on a movie set, where she would get “lost in the shuffle.”

“If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, I would get in f–king trouble,” she admitted.

King, whose mom is former model London King, confessed that she couldn’t connect with Schneider until she “was much, much older,” despite him always forgetting her birthday.

But even now, the “Love Stuff” songstress claims she’s tried to mend their relationship to no avail and has distanced herself from the former “Saturday Night Live” star’s controversial comments.

King noted she disagrees “with a lot of the things that he says.”

“You’re talking out of your a– and you’re talking s–t about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights and it’s like, get f–ked,” she said about Schneider. “He’s just talking out of his a– and I want to use this opportunity to say that I disagree! I do not agree with what he says!”
