Noisy rooster getting kicked out of his posh ranch in Malibu

A noisy neighbor is getting booted from his posh ranch in Malibu, where Martin Sheen and Bob Dylan have houses and the median listing price for a home is $7 million.

Ronnie, a 6-month-old rooster, has been crowing at 4:30 a.m. daily for the last month to the surprise of his caretaker, Pamella Whitham, who lives with her husband Bob on a Point Dume ranch.

Fearful about the morning call ruffling feathers, Whitham is trying to re-home Ronnie, whose cock-a-doodle-do is “a little bit high, in soprano” and echoes throughout her house, she said.

Sasha Higgins posted on NextDoor that Ronnie the rooster needs a new home. She included a picture of Ronnie.

“We don’t have any problems with our neighbors and we don’t want to,” said Whitham, who is a realtor.

Whitham’s son gave her Ronnie and five other chicks in June, not realizing there were three roosters in the bunch.

Whitham gave the two other roosters away a few weeks ago. She was hoping that maybe Ronnie was “the quiet type.” But he shattered that dream.

Whitham’s daughter-in-law, Sasha Higgins, an actor known for her roles in “Blood Wolf,” “Turning Point” and “The Badger Game,” took to NextDoor to find someone to adopt Ronnie, who she called a “very sweet rooster” in her post and “a handsome sweet guy,” in the comments.

Higgins wants to find a rooster-lover who will provide a “home” for the bird” that is “not the dinner table,” she said on NextDoor.
