- 200-400 Thread Count: Bed sheets within this range tend to be more breathable because they’re lighter. If you’re shopping for bedding during summer or live in a warmer climate, a lower thread count may be best. While the material will determine if its cooling or not, the lack of heaviness will help prevent overheating.
- 400-600 Thread Count: Sheets in this range are stronger and softer. If you can’t stand a scratchy sheet and require something buttery smooth, stick to picks within this group.
