Aaron Rodgers is in the public eye after he was traded from the Packers to the Jets.
The trade to the Jets was announced in April of 2023.
Of the many aspects of Rodgers that people have found fascinating over the years is his complicated relationship with his family.
While there has been past bitterness that led to eventual estrangement, Rodgers said on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” in 2022 that there was a chance of “reconciliation” down the line.
“I do believe in healing and I believe in the possibility of reconciliation at some point,” Rodgers said.
“But, it’s a different journey for all of us, and to judge on the outside about what should be or what it should look like, or who’s wrong or who’s right, is just a game I’ve never wanted to play and still don’t want to play.”
The quarterback added there was “no bitterness” in his heart.

Rodgers has two brothers, Luke and Jordan.
Public intrigue about a rift in the Rodgers family began in 2016 when Rodgers’ younger brother, Jordan, was featured on “The Bachelorette,” a reality show in which he ultimately won and married JoJo Fletcher.
When the eventual couple was slated to visit the Rodgers family home in northern California, Jordan told Fletcher not to expect Aaron to be at the meeting.
“My middle brother won’t be there,” Jordan said at the time. “Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke. Me and Aaron really don’t have much of a relationship.”
“It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life, and I chose to stay close with my family, my parents and my brother, It’s not ideal, and I love him. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has and the demands from people he has. Don’t have hard feelings against him. It’s just how things go right now.”

Did Aaron Rodgers attend Jordan Rodgers’ wedding?
While there were reports in 2022 that Aaron and Jordan had begun talking again, Us Weekly reported in May of that year there was still a family rift and that Aaron did not attend the wedding between Jordan and Fletcher.
In 2016, Us Weekly reported that Rodgers’ then-girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, was at the center of the rift.
Munn and Rodgers broke up in 2017.
In 2018, Munn denied having been the cause of the family estrangement, saying that it largely pre-dated their relationship.
“I was friendly with Jordan. I met the parents only a couple of times,” Munn said. “Before he and I started dating, he hadn’t spoken to the parents and one brother for like eight months before we started dating.”

In 2016, Bleacher Report reported that the rift ran so deep that Rodgers returned Christmas presents that had been sent by his parents, Ed and Darla.
It is believed Ed and Darla still live in northern California.

Ed Rodgers told The New York Times that the Bleacher Report article was accurate and that Rodgers had not spoken to them since 2014.
One person close to Rodgers said the quarterback wanted the matter handled in private, not public.
“Aaron has never wanted to air this out in a public forum. He’s going through great precautions not to make this worse,” a source close to Rodgers told People in 2017. “You’re not going to see him on Oprah crying about all of this. He will deal with his family issues privately.”
While there has been no report of reconciliation, Ed did publicly support his son during the vaccine saga of 2021, when Aaron said he had been “immunized” against COVID-19 but later said that he was unvaccinated.
