Vince Camuto truly knows how to architect a heel, as evident with the designer’s Hailenda Pump. I love its polished design, with its pointed toe surprisingly comfortable for my subtly wide feet.

I don’t know why, but these heels make me feel like I’m on the cast of “Pretty Little Liars” (in other words, I feel like a chic Ally from Rosewood). They’re available in a wealth of shades you’ll want to snatch and they slip on like a glove.

For some reason, I anticipated these shoes to be not-so-comfy. But, after years of wearing them, I found a pair of black heels I love. While I only reach for them on special occasions, this is kind of my reminder to style them more — with jeans, maxi skirts and whatever else I find in my closet.

I can’t stop glossing over the M.Gemi The Lizza Nuova. While they’re the most expensive pair of heels on this list, they shine like no other. They also make me feel like Barbie, all thanks to their glossy platform look, adorable buckle and all-around incredible design.

They’re a splurge, but surely worth it for their comfort. I love walking in them when on my way to work, specifically, because I know they won’t grow uncomfortable midday. If you want to be a trendsetter, you’ll pick up the Lulus Sarai Pointed-Toe Ankle Boots. For less than $50 (!!!) they’re the Boots Poster Child for everything I’m looking for: comfort, a glossy exterior, an average heel height and a flattering shape to kick up the confidence.

Its smooth vegan leather gives these booties a nice shape, with its pointed-toe upper offering the pair a slightly Western feel without being a full-on cowgirl. The block heel is on trend and I love its side zipper detailing that allows me to easily pull them on or off.

With a glossy shine, they always are the booties that have people asking, “Where’d you get those?” And to that, I say, Lulus.

The Ann Taylor Chain Leather Block Heel Mule Sandals have something special about them, leading them to eventually land in my shoe collection. The star of the show is the gold buckle detailing and that lovely sloped block heel.

I love the ivory look. Considering most of my heel collection is nude, this is a nice venture out of my comfort zone (though, not really — it’s not like they’re a deep purple or anything).

For less than $75, the Billini Vanilla Heel is what I love wearing to warm-weather parties. The cross-over strap detailing is unlike anything I own, and I love how they’re low to the ground. In essence, they have that my-sandals-but-better look.

I have partially wide feet and these aren’t the best for them. However, they still fit and, because they’re so comfortable, continue to be in my heels rotation (yes, I have one of those, especially after crafting this review). They’re giving 70s retro-white mixed with on-trend block heels, and I love that about them.

The Pink Lily Reese Nude Pearl Strap Heels have become one of my favorite heels, largely in part to its pearl design. The double-band detailing and girly flair make them ideal for bridal occasions, too, like showers and bachelorette trips.

I love Pink Lily more than shoes (side note: its dresses and loungewear will make you want to have a shopping party). Similar to Ann Taylor, Pink Lily tends to have a *major* sellout risk, so I’d grab them while you still can.

There’s nothing quite like the Steve Madden Santana Raffia Heeled Mules. I’d say they exude “summertime sophistication” with just the right height, a wicker-like exterior and gold accessories.

Hailing from one of the most popular and comfortable shoe brands, this pair is on-brand with other styles from Steve Madden I love, like the Becka Tan Leather Slingback Block Heel Pump ($100).

Its slip-on style always makes it look like I put *way* more effort into my outfit than I did, serving me well when I’m getting ready in a pinch and have no idea of what shoes to wear (the worst feeling, to say the least). I’m not going to lie, I’ve had the Kelly & Katie Genna Pump in my closet for a while. And, rightfully so, as they’re (1) comfortable and (2) look like a stock image for what a high heel should be.

At only $50, this pair of heels may be one of your best values yet. I wore them on several extracurricular formal activities (job fairs, interviews, you know the drill) and they never let me down. Some of these shoes were worn for at least one month while others were worn for as long as six years. Some are new-ish (to me, at least) favorite pairs, while others are tried-and-true staples on my shoe rack. Ahead, here’s the testing criteria I kept in mind while waltzing around in each of these heels:

• Comfort: This wouldn’t be a comfortable heels roundup without placing comfort at the forefront of what I was looking for. Dialing it down to the basics, if any heel tested provided me an ounce of discomfort, it didn’t make the final cut.
• Versatility: Of course, some heels are positioned to be worn for special occasions while others have a penchant for everyday wear. I kept this characteristic in mind while testing.
