The Phillies defied all expectations in 2022.
After entering the playoffs as a Wild Card team with an 87-75 record, the team zoomed past all their National League opponents to give the Astros a real scare in the World Series.
And this year, Rob Thomson’s Phils are back to contend all over again.
This time around, returning stars Aaron Nola, J.T. Realmuto, Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos and Zack Wheeler will be joined by blockbuster free agent signee, shortstop Trea Turner.
Then, come mid-season, slugger Bryce Harper will return from the IL to help the team mash the competition.
