Born and raised in Berkeley, Calif., Selim earned a B.A. in Political Science from his hometown university and later received a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. After freelancing for several years, Selim was hired as a staff reporter at the New York Post in 2005 and currently covers Florida. Prior to that beat, Selim reported on the New York City Department of Education and the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn. When not staring at a screen, Selim turns his attention to local history, chess, and boxing.
