The New York Post and Page Six is seeking a Celebrity Talent Booker (M-F, 9am-7pm) to bring celebrities to our video and audio programs. Candidates must have established relationships with celebrity publicists. Applicants should and proactively pitch talent for trending stories. Potential candidates should have a broad and deep knowledge of pop culture and celebrity and be expected to brainstorm for coverage ideas. Bring energy and teamwork skills.

Key bookings will be for Page Six video series that covers the latest trends in culture, fashion, and entertainment.

Essential skills include the ability to get our video and audio producers access to celebrity/musician interview opportunities, footage and news events.

This is an opportunity to join an iconic media brand as it continues to experience exponential digital growth. New York Post and Page Six videos received more than a billion views across platforms in the past year.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay on top of all talent opportunities – from red carpet events to TV and movie premieres to book tours and music tours, etc.
  • Develop close relationships with external publicists for future shoots in conjunction with editorial team needs, requests and objectives.
  • Create a production calendar for talent interviews and red carpet shoots.
  • Help producers to ensure topics and questions are appropriate for each artist/ celebrity.
  • Help devise new formats and creative approaches to celebrity interviews which should work on digital and social platforms
  • Follow up after articles/videos are published to encourage social sharing

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct experience booking talent
  • Great editorial judgment, social media savvy, ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity and use of mainstream video channels like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and more
  • Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast paced breaking news environment but also a fun workplace
  • Attention to detail a must

This role will be expected to come on site 4 days per week.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000
