Detriot Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his fiancée, Christen Harper, are the epitome of a modern-day romance.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model fell for the NFL pro after first connecting on a dating app, and now, they’re engaged to be married.

She is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model
The Southern California native, who will turn 31 in May 2024, began modeling at the age of 20 to help pay her way through college.
Harper landed her first feature in the 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue when she was selected in the publication’s Swimsearch that year.
The brunette beauty was named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s Co-Rookie of the Year in 2022, along with fitness model Katie Austin, after the pair won the Swimsearch the previous year.
Harper appeared in the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and modeled a number of sultry bikinis on location in Dominica, which is located in the Eastern Caribbean.
She is signed with Creative Artists Agency and also models for various brands and designers.
She has acting credits
Harper starred in the 2019 sci-fi drama “Auggie” in the titular role, portraying the AI companion to Richard Kind’s Felix Greystone, according to IMDb.
That same year, she played Caroline in the 2019 drama, “The Obituary of Tunde Johnson.”
Harper also appeared in a 2006 episode of “Entourage,” as well as a single episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” which chronicled Goff’s former team, the Los Angeles Rams, in August 2020.
At the time, Harper joined Goff — then in his fourth year with the Rams — on the golf course during the offseason.
The couple met on a dating app
Harper and Goff are a dating app success story.
“We met on a dating app,” Harper said in a 2022 episode of “Women of the League,” a YouTube series that followed the significant others of NFL players.
“I wasn’t really looking for anything at the time and I was just kind of being single and having fun. I met him through the dating app and he was very persistent trying to take me out on a date and he kept trying and trying — and finally it was like a Thursday night and I was like, ‘Ok, I have nothing else to do, I might as well go out on a date.’”
Harper gushed that she was immediately hooked on Goff.
“Literally, he picked me up and I was like ‘Oh shoot, dang it, he got me,’” she said. “From that moment on, we just talked every day since then. Now it’s been almost four years.”
Harper and Goff were first linked in January 2019, a month before the Rams faced Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII. The Rams lost, 13-3.
She confirmed their relationship that February when she shared a photo of herself arriving at the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
She and Goff got engaged in 2022
Goff proposed to Harper in June 2022.
“Still on cloud 9 from the best weekend of my life,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, including photos of her stunning oval-cut engagement ring.
She loves giving back
Harper volunteers with organizations such as Girls Inc., Forgotten Harvest and Farm Sanctuary, according to Sports Illustrated.
The model also mentors young girls through self-esteem and positivity workshops at the Detroit Lions Academy in partnership with the Pure Heart Foundation.
She has an app
Harper co-created the app Planted, a community and resource to “support your mind, body and soul,” with Elizabeth Turner, a model and psychotherapist at UCLA.
She is passionate about following a plant-based diet and is an ambassador for Only One, an action platform for the planet.
She is Goff’s biggest fan
The model has long been part of Goff’s NFL journey, including when he was traded from the Rams to the Lions in January 2021, with Los Angeles acquiring then-Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Harper has said she enjoys living in Detroit and loves the “change of pace.”
She has integrated herself into the community through volunteer work and her friendships with the significant others of Lions players.
Harper has planned WAGs gatherings in Detriot, according to her Instagram, and hosted the Lions’ ladies for a holiday party in December 2023.
The Lions’ WAGs toasted tequila after Detroit punched its ticket to the NFC Championship game for the first time in 32 years — and just the second time in franchise history — with a 31-23 divisional-round win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Jan. 21, 2024.
