The Amotai delegation landed safely in Brisbane for Supply Nation's Connect 2024 and have hit the ground running! First stop: A meeting with Suncorp, hosted by Rina Abbott-Jard and Sarah Stewart, to dive into their responsible supply chain strategy aligned with their RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan). Next, we headed to Beca for a fantastic networking event with First Nation businesses. To cap off a busy day, we enjoyed the Taste of Queensland networking event, while some team members attended the We Connect event. A massive first day full of connections and insights! Stronghold Group has been actively involved with Amotai, including opportunities with Auckland Council, but Stronghold Group has shown they are more than a business. Kara and Quincy have led their team as managers, employing Māori and Pasifika employees and local subcontractors, but have also been mentors in enabling a vision for future entrepreneurs, guiding their apprentices and encouraging their team's own business journey. Quincy and Kara embody manaaki and aroha and these attributes shine through their achievements as a team.
