In celebration of NAIDOC week, we were honoured to welcome Brendan Kerin from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council to speak with our team across Australia. Brendan shared some of his personal story and spoke to the significance of important cultural traditions like Acknowledgement and Welcome to Country, and smoking ceremonies. We want to extend a very warm thank you to Brendan for his generous and thoughtful presentation. We also marked the occasion with afternoon gatherings at our offices across Australia. Our Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group Co-Chair Clinton West shared an update on our progress towards our RAP, including partnerships with Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC) and the GO Foundation - The Goodes O'Loughlin Foundation. You can find our RAP on the Reconciliation Australia website: https://lnkd.in/gkbUmT9u #Reconciliation #NAIDOC #RAP Clinton West Sam Knight Adele Sheers

“If communication channels are fragmented there is much greater scope for miscommunication, whether that is critical information being lost or responses being delayed or misinterpreted.” Seamless communication is key to business operations, but organisations with complex communication needs often struggle with multiple inefficient channels. GM - Solutions Justin Lee and Lead Architect Jarek Modra share why complex organisations are increasingly turning to the “Swiss Army knife of communication” to support operations. https://lnkd.in/gWA22-Mm #UnifiedCommunications #UCASS #Cisco #Messages #Chat #Telecommunications #Healthcare #EmployeeExperience #EX #ThriveTogether

Driven by a desire to connect directly with residents on issues that affect them personally, Hauraki District Council has adopted Datacom’s Antenno app. As well as being cost-effective, one of the key benefits for the council team is the ability to speedily send targeted, localised updates about immediate issues like a burst water main. “To date we could only rely on Facebook or paying for radio airtime, to get that message out, with no guarantee that it would reach the intended audience, especially if the shutdown is only for a couple of hours.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gVt8kuQp #Antenno #Datascape #LocalGovernment #LocalCouncil #Communication #CustomerExperience #ThriveTogether #Hauraki

With more than 30,000 students and 1800 employees working across 20 separate campus, Central Queensland University’s networking needs are complex – and they wanted a solution that allowed them to remotely manage equipment with ‘low touch’. Working with our team, the CQUniversity engineers have successfully solved even the trickiest configurations. “Datacom has been great for technical advice and connecting us with HPE Aruba Networking technical experts. That has helped us get to where we want to be in terms of the configurations we want to deploy. They were able to answer all our questions – and honestly, all our questions are hard questions.” – Julianne Weekers, Senior Network Engineer for CQU.
