The airways of neonates and infants are fundamentally different from those of adults in terms of anatomy and physiology. The delivery of respiratory gases to these populations requires special considerations for several reasons: To ensure maintained function of the mucociliary transport system, which plays a crucial role in airway defense; to aid in thermoregulation; and to ensure effective ventilation is provided to these inherently vulnerable patients. Our products, designed across the care continuum with these considerations in mind, deliver heated, humidified support for these populations. Last week we welcomed five marketing students from Auckland University of Technology for an opportunity to shadow our early career marketers. This experience was our unique adaptation of AUT’s Shadow a Leader Program. During their time here, the students got a first-hand look at the possibilities of a career in B2B Marketing from a leading global medical device company and particularly enjoyed a tour of our world-class manufacturing. One of the students said: "I feel inspired and eager to explore more." The future of marketing is bright!

The power of commitment, collaboration and creative problem-solving made our winners stand out at the FY24 Global Continuous Improvement Awards held in Auckland last week. The event, themed ‘Impact’, showcased how continuous improvement (CI) has made a real impact to our business, our customers, and ultimately, the patients who use our products and therapies. From a record number of submissions, the judges selected 34 finalists with Area Awards presented to the winners across six business areas. A cross-functional New Zealand-based project, that significantly reduced time and resources for an essential business process, won the supreme Overall Global CI Award. Presenting the winners with the CI Möbius trophy, CEO Lewis Gradon said, “When I see these continuous improvement projects making such a positive impact, it gives me confidence in the future of our business. At F&P, we know that CI never stops. It's a journey and I'm keen to see CI embedded everywhere, in every team, demonstrating results and contributing to our growth.” VP - Human Resources Nicola Talbot said, “It's inspiring to see our nominees and winners bringing their ideas to life and making a difference to the way we work. Thank you very much for your contributions and congratulations to everyone!” #continuousimprovement #impact #committment #collaboration
