Puku Ora, co-founded by sisters Amy Wright and Erana Ngakuru (Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa), started six years ago in Tairāwhiti with a passion for holistic wellness and nutritious kai. From fresh juices and salads to feeding over 2,600 tamariki daily through the Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy School Lunches programme, their journey is inspiring. Using the Māori health model Te Whare Tapa Whā, they focus on balancing taha wairua, hinengaro, tinana, and whānau. We were proud to see them featured in Air New Zealand’s Kia Ora Magazine!
