WE ARE HIRING 🌈🚀
OutLine is an all-ages rainbow mental health organisation providing support to the rainbow community, their friends, whānau, and those questioning. We provide a nationwide, free and confidential 0800 support line for people who want to speak to a trained volunteer from the rainbow community. We also provide specialist rainbow counselling and an Auckland based trans and non-binary peer support service. Free call 0800 OUTLINE or visit outline.org.nz between 6pm-9pm for support. It’s free & confidential. Some of the topics people call to talk about include family relationships, loneliness and isolation, sexuality and gender identity, sexual health, navigating gender-affirming healthcare and meeting people, Our support line and chat service is answered by LGBTIQ+ people who have trained to help others over the phone on issues around rainbow identities and experiences. Currently the organisation has over 40 telephone volunteers who have all undertaken ongoing training and supervision.

WE ARE HIRING 🌈🚀
Yesterday was the end of an era for OutLine Aotearoa, as we said haere rā to our contract counselling team. OutLine has been providing Rainbow specialist counselling services to our communities for the better part of a decade. However, we recently decided to put this service on hold while we work on bringing counselling in-house as a core service. OutLine’s contract counselling service was established by Hayden Oswin, who remained a pillar of the service to its end. We thank Hayden for his years of service and wish him all the best. We’d also like to say a huge thank you and haere rā to the rest of the contract counselling team – Tommy Hamilton, Jacqui Ivankovich, Tabby Besley, Olivia Campbell and Vicky Clothier. OutLine is excited to be bringing our Rainbow specialist counselling service in-house, and we look forward to sharing updates as we get the new service up and running. We appreciate the pause in service may be difficult for our communities, and we thank you for your patience. Striding with pride 🌈 Yesterday staff, friends, allies, and Pride folks from Bank of New Zealand, ASB Bank, The Co-operative Bank, Kiwibank, and Westpac New Zealand joined together for a 21-minute walk to support Sweat with Pride Aotearoa. These walking events took place right across the country, and were an opportunity to show solidarity and collective care for our vibrant Pride communities. We’re proud to be in a banking sector that embraces diversity and inclusion. Sweat with Pride’s fundraising supports organisations like Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, RainbowYOUTH, OutLine Aotearoa, and InsideOUT Kōaro. They do amazing mahi for the Pride community, including counselling, education, advocacy, and peer support. Our walk together symbolised our collective support for our rainbow friends, family, and colleagues. 💜 💙 💚 💛 🧡 ❤️

Walking together with Pride 🌈💚 Our Kiwibank kaimahi joined forces with ASB Bank, Bank of New Zealand, Westpac New Zealand and The Co-operative Bank teams this week to support Sweat with Pride. The walking events throughout NZ were a show of support across our industry, and we’re incredibly proud to be in a banking sector that embraces diversity and inclusion. Fundraising efforts for Sweat with Pride directly support the health and wellbeing of our Kiwi Rainbow and Takatāpui communities through the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, RainbowYOUTH, OutLine Aotearoa, and InsideOUT. 💚 #ThisIsKiwi #SweatWithPride

I’ve just finished my third week of Sweat With Pride, which only leaves just over one more week - and what a week this one was! This is totally beyond me, but I've managed to so far raise an incredible $3947! Out of over 4300 competitors across New Zealand, I'm sitting at top 6 on the main leaderboard. It's honestly been very overwhelming for me - I didn't go into this thinking I could achieve that. Like so many in our rainbow communities, I haven't always had a lot of support in my own life, and times where I have been totally alone. I don't like talking about it because I still get scared of being seen as lesser, weaker, broken, not good enough - all of those intrusive thoughts and fears many of us face. It's a pretty grim reality sometimes, and many of us, very sadly, still don't have it great. Pride Month in particular is about being proud of who we are, and that's because the world has continuously told us we shouldn't be. The support I've had around me while I've been raising money for my own communities has been so phenomenal, from both others in my communities and allies. I feel my absolute strongest when I'm surrounded by others who believe in me and celebrate me, and I can use that strength to make change. I want a world where we can all be proud of who we are, and truly believe in ourselves. I want a world where everybody is celebrated for their differences, unique strengths and perspectives, and nobody has to compromise their identity. That goes beyond just our rainbow communities too. Thanks again Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, RainbowYOUTH, OutLine Aotearoa, and InsideOUT Kōaro - your mahi inspires me and so many others. Thanks so much to everyone who has donated too - this cause is so important to me, and can really change lives for many in the LGBTTQIA+ communities. You're making a difference! This isn't really a post to ask for donations either, but you are more than welcome to! I'm doing pretty intensive exercise until the end of June. https://lnkd.in/gTbQ99Y9

I had the pleasure of organising and being part of two Sweat With Pride Events at Salesforce Aotearoa / New Zealand today. We started the day with a Boxing class run by Coach Tristan Mondala. And then there was a small but mighty crew who braved the wind, rain and a few crazy drivers for a midday hīkoi along the waterfront in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. This concludes the planned events from Salesforce Aotearoa / New Zealand for Sweat With Pride 2024. I am proud of how everyone across the motu who has embraced this volunteering and fundraising effort for another year. Whether it is the people sweating, those who have donated, those who have amplified the message, or those who have been active allies to the LGBTQIA+ communities in Aotearoa / New Zealand. There is still time to take part in Sweat With Pride. Feel free to donate to Salesforce Aotearoa / New Zealand, or any other individual, team, or workplace, and support the hard work of the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa. “It was our aim this year to make the Sweat with Pride Aotearoa top 10 workplace leaderboard and raise at least $10,000. With pride month 2024 almost over, I feel proud knowing we’ve achieved both these goals. This is our third year taking part in Sweat with Pride and it's really built a stronger sense of whanaungatanga for our Rainbow Network. It’s been inspiring to see the team get creative with their fundraising and have a bit of fun and healthy competition! Being Rainbow Tick certified and having the full support of Tower to awhi events like Sweat with Pride in Aotearoa and across the Pacific, shows that our business genuinely cares about making a difference in our communities. As an employee, it allows me to feel safe being my true, colourful self at work. I hope that it inspires others to feel the same. Happy Pride Month from the Tower team, to yours!” – Tower People & Culture Consultant Dylan Somerville. 🌈 Pictured from left: Kirstie Taplin, Dylan, Sage Tugaga and Chloe Spyksma, after yesterday’s Zumba Sweat with Pride fundraiser at Tower’s head office🌈 #TowerNZ #TowerPacific #Pridemonth24 #sweatwithpride #insurance Burnett Foundation Aotearoa RainbowYOUTH OutLine Aotearoa InsideOUT 🌈

The Colliers New Zealand Workplace team is off to an epic start to the Sweat With Pride challenge this June! The team has raised $2,028 so far - 67% of the current fundraising goal! The team has 12 Sweaty Bettys & has already collectively sweated 1,136 minutes! The challenge runs until the end of June & I can't wait to see how much the team can raise & how many minutes are sweated! Every dollar raised will support the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa in partnership with RainbowYOUTH, OutLine Aotearoa, & InsideOUT Kōaro to fund life-changing mental, physical and sexual health services for Rainbow New Zealanders. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍
