After interviewing candidates, we've spotted a major issue in the industry 👇🏾 skilled individuals can't break in because they lack "official" industry experience. Meanwhile, those who land internships find that this experience isn’t taken seriously—internships don’t count, and you need real experience to get a full-time job. Seriously, that’s just sad! We can't fix everything, but we're down to try something new. We're thinking of launching a pilot in India to train freshers with the skills and platform they need to land full-time jobs. We’ve done this before in New Zealand and the U.K., where we trained folks and helped them get real jobs in the industry. If there’s enough hype for this program, we’ll kick off a pilot with a small group and really focus on helping those who need it most. If the community is vibing with this, we'll make it happen🙏🏼 #CyberSecurity #Talent

CEO at Capture The Bug - Democratizing pentesting for ANZ's fast moving SaaS with the power of community

Since launching Capture The Bug I’ve had the privilege to chat with many CISOs and CTOs from around the world. One topic that keeps coming up? The challenges of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT). VAPT can seem like a huge investment, especially for small to medium-sized businesses. But delaying critical testing only increases the risk. Then there’s the issue of scoping - getting it right can be a real headache, yet it’s crucial for effective and cost-efficient testing. And let’s not even start on the jargon... translating technical risks into business impact is like speaking two different languages sometimes! I've shared some insights into common VAPT challenges and how addressing them can lead to better outcomes. If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts and discuss how we can make the VAPT process smoother for your organization. Let's connect! https://capturethebug.xyz/ #CyberSecurity #PenetrationTesting #NewZealand #CyberAttacks

CEO at Capture The Bug - Democratizing pentesting for ANZ's fast moving SaaS with the power of community

A conversation that recently caught my attention involved a CTO discussing their mixed experiences with traditional pentesting. It struck a chord with me, echoing the challenges many of us face - high costs, inconsistent quality, and a model that doesn’t adapt as our businesses evolve. At Capture The Bug, we're all about innovation and efficiency, which is why we've fully embraced the Pentesting as a Service (PTaaS) model. PTaaS is particularly suited to fast-moving, modern businesses that require agile, continuous cybersecurity measures without breaking the bank. Why PTaaS? Because it's not just a service, it’s a partnership that grows with you. Unlike traditional pen tests, which often provide a snapshot in time, PTaaS offers ongoing assessments with the flexibility to adapt to new threats and technologies as they emerge. This model ensures that fresh, motivated eyes are continuously evaluating your systems, keeping engagement high and your defenses sharper. We also understand that every dollar and every minute counts, which is why our PTaaS is designed to be cost-effective and efficient. To make it even easier, we've introduced a customizable pricing calculator on our website, so you can plan your cybersecurity budget with precision. I’m keen to connect with CTOs and CISOs of dynamic, forward-thinking companies. How are you handling the cybersecurity challenges in your rapidly evolving business landscapes? Have you explored what PTaaS could do for you? https://lnkd.in/dUA9W_Tm #CaptureTheBug #Pentesting #CyberSecurity #NewZealand #KiwiSaaS

CEO at Capture The Bug - Democratizing pentesting for ANZ's fast moving SaaS with the power of community

It's 1:30am here in NZ, and I’m stoked to announce Capture The Bug new website is live🚀 These past two months have been a wild ride, working day and night with my awesome team—shoutout to Rupali, our UI/UX designer, and Rajeev our lead developer. We've hit a ton of roadblocks as a small team with limited resources, but we pushed through and hit our deadline. We planned to go live this morning, but some last-minute QA and bugs pushed us behind by six hours. Still, we’re super proud of what we’ve accomplished. Huge thanks to all our clients and partners who stuck with us before we had a fancy-looking website and believed in our vision. Your support means everything 🙌🏽 Buzzing with excitement for the future—this is just the beginning 😉 link to our website - www.capturethebug.xyz Ministry of Awesome Jeffrey Ling #techstartup #newzealand #cybersecurity #KiwiSaaS
