    We've worked with our friends at Kiwibank to launch the inaugural Kiwibank State of Savings Index to document Kiwi attitudes to savings, and our ability to cover expenses. It revealed that a third of New Zealanders would struggle to cover an unexpected bill of $500 without borrowing, selling something or putting it on a credit card. That's why Kiwibank has invested so heavily in tools, resources and products to help encourage better savings behaviour - such as 'Good Tracker' and the launch of 'Thrive HQ'.      Some exciting shortlist news from the South of France. Our Special New Zealand and Special Australia collaboration ‘Cliché Codes’ for Uber Eats has been shortlisted for a ‘Social and Influencer ’ Cannes Lion. And ‘Last Performance’ for Partner’s Life has been shortlisted for ‘Creative Effectiveness’ Cannes Lion.   An incredible effort from our team and client partners for making it this far. And all of our fingers are crossed for these turning into metal.

    There's a buzz about town as thousands migrate down to Aotearoa New Zealand's deep south. Albatross. Seals. Great white sharks. Students. University of Otago is calling on the next influx of freshers to answer the call and travel down to experience New Zealand's only true university town. DOWN FOR IT, the latest campaign from Special Wellington captures the momentousness of this mission, featuring real footage captured on the road, in the air, and over the ocean by students on Otago’s latest migration south in February. Artfully pieced together by Jonny Kofoed and his team at Assembly and backed by classic Dunedin track ‘Tally Ho!’ by The Clean. It wouldn't be an Otago experience without Scarfie culture, back with giant-sized scarves and OOH to showcase the scope of student life and study that Dunedin has to offer.     Meanwhile, in London... We're excited to announce that Special has been awarded a suite of Global Agency Titles at the Campaign Global Awards. In an unprecedented win, we've been awarded the title 'Global Creative Agency of the Year'—marking the first time an agency has won the title back-to-back. In another first, our incredible founder, Tony Bradbourne, has been named "Global Creative Agency Leader of the Year', becoming the only agency leader in the southern hemisphere to have been awarded the top prize. And - in a rare double - Special took home the other major 'Person of the Year' award, with Special Auckland CCOs Lisa Fedyszyn and Jonathan McMahon named 'Global Creative Leaders of the Year.' It's an incredibly proud moment for Special, but none of this would be possible without everyone who works at Special and our wonderful clients who put their trust in us to deliver creative and effective work in equal parts.

    It’s usually people they deal with, but it would seem Partners Life now have all other insurance brands covered too. (A little insurance humour for you there). Massive effort to be ranked the ‘number 1 insurance brand’ at the Global Effie awards, for The Last Performance. Well done to their brilliant team.
