About

Manaaki whenua, manaaki tangata - haere whakamua - care for the land, care for the people, go forward.

Of Ngāti Whātua, Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi, Te Roroa, Ngāti Pukenga and Ngāti Kahu ki Torongare descent I am the proud founder of Kaitiaki Collective, a kaupapa Māori, indigenous led company committed to providing environmental and sustainability services to iwi, hapu, the public and private sector - large and small businesses alike. We love working with clients whos values align with our own.

I have worked as an environmental consultant and a tangata whenua advocate in the sustainability and environmental management space for over 10 years on projects that have included developing Sustainability Strategies, Long Term Plans, Freshwater Plans, Climate Change Response Strategies, Research projects and guiding organisations to embed mātauranga Māori into sustainability strategies and business plans while working with Iwi and councils to enable stronger decision sharing relationships.

I have a specific experience and interest in the areas of the moana (marine and coastal), building resilient communities in the face of climate change and developing IEMP/IHEMS and cultural impact assessments for Iwi and hapū.

I have a thirst for knowledge - I hold a Masters in Science (MSc)and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and am on my journey to reclaim my reo Māori (Māori language) for myself and my whanau, hapū, iwi kātoa.
