About

In our times of multi-faceted conflict, bringing and bridging together diverse, isolated, often traumatised families/people and creating/connecting community not online but face to face, feels like one of the most hopeful acts that we can offer each other as societies of people. I am excited to work with organisations, businesses and people wishing to further explore this incredible potential for our collective healing and growth.

In 1991, after helping to set up the first Greenpeace office in Athens, I embarked on a seven-year journey to the Mediterranean, the US, the Caribbean, and the Pacific as a deckhand on board Greenpeace ships campaigning on climate change, nuclear waste, fisheries and marine pollution.

In 1996 I settled in New Zealand where I launched a number of community-based initiatives linking art and environmental awareness and worked as a researcher for ‘60 Minutes’ New Zealand.

I returned back to Greece in 2005 at the request of George Papandreou, then President of the Greek Socialist Party and later Prime Minister of Greece, to design and run projects linking the environmental crisis with participatory democracy.

In 2006 I was on the organizing committee of the ‘Religion, Science and the Environment’ symposium held in the Amazon under the auspices of HAH Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

In 2007 I formed dotearth.gr, my own sustainability consultancy in Greece, where I worked with clients as diverse as Superfast Ferries, Kallimanis Seafood and Sklavenitis Supermarkets designing long term climate change and fisheries depletion strategies.

In 2013, I designed a weekly TV show for Greek National Television, empowering Greek housewives into environmental activism, entitled (in Greek) "Το Ημερολογιο μιας Οικολογριας". Upon the collapse of the Greek economy, I re-designed that show into ‘The Aunties: Taking the Planet Back”, an online international digital magazine and radio podcast wishing to ignite meaningful conversation, collaboration and, ultimately, progress on the climate and resource crises.

From 2016-18 I served as a maintenance van driver of a UNCHR funded NGO taking care of vulnerable refugee families in Athens, Greece.

Since moving back to New Zealand in 2019, needing to take a break from worrying about the planet for a living, I have worked as a Cast/Swing Driver for the Film Industry, an artist/ band driver for the Music Industry, and an Auckland Libraries Mobile Bus Librarian/Driver
