I am thrilled to be driving the Student, Business and Community Partnerships team at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. AUT has provided New Zealanders with a place to learn for 120 years. AUT is the second-largest university in New Zealand and is ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide.

In this role, I lead the design, development and implementation of strategy and initiatives that strengthen connection and collaboration between the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and external parties.

I work closely with the Faculty’s Schools and Departments to leverage relationships of benefit to the Faculty and its partners, with a major focus on engagement activity that supports enhancement of the student learning experience and graduate employability.

We focus our engagement with external partners to achieve positive social impact both within and outside AUT. Partnerships help to ensure that our curriculum is relevant, that student experience and employability prospects are enhanced, and that our research is meaningful and interesting.

These relationships benefit our partners and further their objectives. We prioritise partnerships that advance our key social agendas – diversity and inclusion, opportunity for Māori and Pacific, and employability for all.
