ODENTON, MD - Police said a 69-year-old man was punched and robbed this weekend in an Odenton neighborhood.
A passerby called 911 after spotting the victim lying on the sidewalk in the 500 block of King Malcolm Avenue around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, officers said.
The victim told authorities that he was robbed and assaulted sometime overnight, a press release said.
Police said the victim reported that multiple males approached him from behind, punched him in his face, stole cash from his pockets and fled.
The injured man was taken to an undisclosed hospital, officers said.
Authorities are still investigating.
