Aged 65 years in a first-fill sherry butt, this release from Glen Grant Distillery was laid down by ‘Mr George’ and left to mature in a cask made to his own specifications. This single malt was bottled in November 2023 at a cask strength of 56.5% - remarkable considering its age. The theme of this edition is around 'The Lone Oak' which symbolises Mr George’s unique whisky ageing approach. Only 376 bottles were produced and BlockBar has secured 10. We are delighted to announce our latest partnership with independent bottler Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited, who have released two rare expressions from Macallan, who are celebrating their 200th anniversary this year. Macallan 1969, 52 Year Old and Macallan 1991, 33 Year Old were matured in Sherry Oak casks and bottled in 100ml, an appealing volume to a broader market of connoisseurs.
