Alec Baldwin ‘stalked’ Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard may have won an Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in 2007’s “La Vie en Rose,” but she also has talent as an escape artist. The French actress flew like a little sparrow to avoid Alec Baldwin as he chased her down for “Seduced and Abandoned,” his HBO documentary about the movie biz, made with director James Toback and airing November 4.

Baldwin told a Savannah Film Festival audience on Monday about following Cotillard’s publicist around for three days at the Cannes Film Festival before finally cornering the actress in a party tent — where she smiled and blew him kisses before vanishing out a back door.

“She was the only one who got away,” Baldwin said.

Meanwhile, Savannah fest guest Norman Reedus —  who slays more zombies than you can count in “The Walking Dead” — caused pandemonium among the pre-Halloween revelers on Broughton Street.

Also in attendance: Bruce Dern, who is getting Oscar buzz for director Alexander Payne’s “Nebraska”; Jeremy Irons, who got a lifetime achievement award; fellow Brit Natalie Dormer, one of the many queens in “Game of Thrones”; and  Rep. MarkSanford, the former South Carolina Governor who gave new meaning to the phrase, “hiking the Appalachian trail.”
