There will be plenty of vampires attending this wedding.
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are reportedly engaged after only six months of dating.
“She accepted with glee,” a source told Us Weekly. “She is madly in love.”
The “Vampire Diaries” actor, 36, and the “Twilight” actress, 26, were first spotted together in July 2014 and quickly moved in together after dating for three weeks.
Another source told Us Weekly, “They were friends before, the groundwork had been laid before. They had always been attracted to each other, but always in another relationship. It may seem quick, but they knew it was right. They believe in the same things. They are dedicated to their work and helping others.”
In August the couple adopted two horses and a cat. They also have two dogs together. Somerhalder posted a photo of the two with their pups last week, hinting at the engagement.
“How I spent my New Year’s Day- in a #tbt way- wow. Week one of 2015,” he wrote. “Thank you all for giving me so much strength-we’re ready to kick major ass and make a great future staritng now . Happy 1st week of the New Year.”
This isn’t the first time Reed had a quickie engagement. The actress was previously married to “American Idol” alum Paul McDonald. The pair met in March 2011, were engaged by June of that year and married by October. Their marriage ended two years later in early 2014.
Somerhalder famously dated his “Vampire Diaries” co-star Nina Dobrev, 26, for three years before calling it quits in 2013.
A rep for Somerhalder declined to comment and Reed’s rep did not immediately respond.
