Alyssa Milano took to Twitter to blast London’s Heathrow Airport for confiscating her pumped breast milk at security.
“@HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay,” she wrote, her first in a series of tweets.
“They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????”
Milano, 42, claims that her other liquids were tested but her breast milk was “taken away with no discussion.” She added she would have divided the breast milk into different containers to comply with the airport’s rules had she been given the chance.
Heathrow replied to the star and tried to smooth things over, tweeting, “Hi Alyssa. Unfortunately, without a baby present, the government requires all liquids in carry-ons to follow the 100ml rule.”
Milano has long been a proponent of breastfeeding and she has shared several pictures of herself feeding her daughter, Elizabella Dylan.
